Andy Powell has over 25 years experience in telecoms, data and Unified Communications.He is a Solutions Evangelist in ShoreTel's ever expanding SE Community and heads up the SE function across EMEA for ShoreTel.Andy's current role takes him across Europe explaining to partners and end customers alike, that Unified Communications needn't be complex and is not just for larger enterprises. With a background that has included corporate marketing, engineering, sales and technical roles, Andy is well placed to discuss the benefits of Unified Communications and why this need not be complex or expensive.From working as a telecommunications office for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office to leading marketing positions with NCR Corp and Siemens Enterprise Communications, Andy has overseen the development of business communications from simple point to point solutions to complex LAN / WAN designs. This period also saw the dramatic growth of the internet. Andy now works for ShoreTel as the Team Leader for Sales Engineering and takes the lead on all aspects of Unified Communications technology in ShoreTel for Europe.
