(Senior Director Connectivity Services, EMEA) Level 3, formerly Global Crossing

Jeff Smith serves as Senior Director Connectivity Services, EMEA. He oversees Global Crossing EMEA’s data Product organization regionally and in this position he is responsible for the execution of the data Product strategy in addition to the development, positioning and management of regional products and services, pricing, strategic marketing, and market development of the data Products. Mr Smith is a key spokesperson for Global Crossing with the regional media and analyst communities keeping them updated on corporate and regional strategy and developments.On joining Global Crossing following their acquisition of Fibernet in 2006, Mr Smith served as Director Infrastructure Services EMEA, and contributed to the ongoing development and integration of the former Fibernet product portfolio, adding further capability to one of the UK's leading data networking organisations. In that role he was also responsible for Global Crossing's Secure Government IP VPN, commercial UK IP VPN, Transmission services, Carrier Ring Services, Ethernet portfolio and Managed Services.Mr Smith has over 15 years telecommunications experience in Customer Service, Technical Management, Product Development, Product Management and Marketing, in the UK and overseas. Prior to joining Fibernet, he spent seven years working for Australasian telecommunications companies focusing on Managed and Hosted Voice and Data Services.
