Mark joined F5 in October 2007 to help drive F5’s penetration of the file virtualisation market in the EMEA. F5 technology optimises the application infrastructure from the core of the data centre to the edge of the network. F5’s acquisition of Acopia Networks (September 2007) aims to extend F5’s reach to include optimisation of the data storage layer. Mark brings with him a wealth of experience in storage technology and management gained during his time at EMC. Mark’s technical background and commercial experience in storage sales enable him to understand the storage challenges and requirements of his clients and position F5 data solutions accordingly.In total, Mark has 15 years experience in the IT sector, 13 of those focused on storage and server virtualisation. Mark has worked in a variety of consulting, sales and product management roles for EMC, Intel and Morse Group Limited so has a clear understanding of the storage management challenges facing companies throughout the world.Outside of work, Mark has keen interests in rugby, due to his previous playing and refereeing experience, and spending time with his young family.
