How to Monitor 10G Links Using 1G Tools Whitepaper
With proper filtering, multiple 10G links can be monitored with a single 1G tool.Imagine a world where you can use your 1G tools to monitor a 10G network. It can be done due to two important enablers:
First, most tools only need to see a small fraction of the network traffic to do their jobs. In fact, sending more data than is required actually degrades efficiency, because tools cannot keep up.
Second, Monitoring Optimization, a new industry trend, enables traffic to be filtered and dynamically directed to the correct tools. With this technique, you can increase monitoring coverage and save money. Monitoring Optimization enables traffic to be received at 10G bandwidths and filtered on Layer 2/3/4 criteria.
In most cases, traffic from a 10G link can be reduced to 1G or less by filtering out data that a tool does not need to see, so your existing 1G tools can still be used. If the filtered traffic is over 1G, then operators can still use their 1G tools by load balancing the traffic to two 1G tools using Monitoring Optimization. With proper filtering, multiple 10G links can be monitored with a single 1G tool.

How to Maximize Monitoring Coverage When You Are Out of SPANs or TAPs Whitepaper
Achieve full monitoring coverage regardless of the number of available SPAN ports and/or TAPsImagine a world where you can achieve full monitoring coverage regardless of the number of available SPAN ports and/or TAPs. It can be done due to two important enablers:
- Most tools only need to see a small fraction of the network traffic to do their jobs, although often this traffic comes from separate network segments. Sending more data than is required actually degrades efficiency, because tools cannot keep up.
- Monitoring Optimization, a new industry trend, enables traffic to be filtered and dynamically directed to the correct tools. With this technique, you can increase monitoring coverage and save money
Monitoring Optimization enables traffic to be received at bandwidths up to 10G and filtered on Layer 2/3/4 criteria. With this technique, security and network operations professionals can use as many tools as needed to monitor the same access points. Then, users can independently and simultaneously filter traffic to each tool, providing each of those tools with the precise information they need to optimize visibility and monitoring coverage.

Anue 5200 Net Tool Optimizer (NTO) Series Brief
The Anue 5200 Net Tool Optimizer (NTO) series increases monitoring effectiveness and tool utilization. The Anue 5200 Net Tool Optimizer (NTO) series increases monitoring effectiveness and tool utilization. The Anue NTO can help you reduce network outages, boost network performance, delay monitoring tool costs and increase the productivity of your IT team. The Anue NTO resides in between network SPANs or taps and your monitoring tools to aggregate, filter and replicate traffic to its respective destination. This system allows your engineers to simultaneously connect monitoring tools to multiple points on the network and increase the productivity of expensive monitoring tools. The 5200 family of network visibility systems ensures the right traffic is delivered to the right tools to provide complete network visibility.

Anue 5273 Net Tool Optimizer (NTO) Data Sheet
5273 - A carrier class, NEBS Level 3 compliant NTOTelecommunication and cable service providers face many challenges monitoring and managing their operational networks. The Anue 5273, a carrier class, NEBS Level 3 compliant system, helps service providers achieve optimal network performance while still meeting increased bandwidth needs required by growing mobile and video content. This new addition to the 5200 family aggregates data from multiple visibility points in a network and ensures that critical network traffic is always delivered to essential monitoring tools for complete network visibility. Enhancing the power of network monitoring tools improves network performance, increases operations teams' productivity and reduces potential risk of network outages. The Anue 5273 can also be used in enterprise data centers where high availability is essential.
