Big Data Evolution Summit

In association with Cloudera, IP EXPO Europe brings you The Big Data Evolution Summit.

8-9 October 2014, ExCeL, London
Today’s leading companies need to be information-driven to succeed. For true insight to be a reality, organisations are required to leverage an unprecedented volume and variety of data.  The outcomes when practiced effectively lead to strong competitive advantages and industry differentiation; however, the side effects are far-reaching and costly.  IT Managers are quickly feeling the effects, being required to quickly increase storage capacity and ensuring that data privacy, protection and back up is in line with regulation.

Cloudera is proud to be hosting The Big Data Evolution Summit and Partner Zone at IP EXPO Europe to share how they, along with their partners are helping many organisations achieve success.

Cloudera offers enterprises one place to store, process and analyse all of their data, empowering them to extend the value of existing investments and infrastructures, and ensure value is derived from their data.

This free to attend, two day summit will take place across the following two focused theatres:

Hadoop Business Use-Case Theatre - Join Cloudera and industry experts in telecommunications, banking, retail, travel and more to explore how Big Data disruptive technologies and next generation analytics evolve and enable organisations to transform their businesses.

Hadoop Technology Takeaways Theatre - Hadoop essentials, data science, compelling open source projects, demos and use cases presented by Cloudera and partners.

Who should attend?

Seminar Synopsis

It's twenty-five years since Sir Tim Berners-Lee wrote the first draft of the first proposal for what would become the World Wide Web. Today, he says, "like most twentysomethings, the Web's full potential is just starting to show." In this keynote presentation, Sir Tim will outline his vision for the Web and how businesses will use it for competitive advantage. He'll offer his insight into business strategies for innovation and for creating whole new markets through digital channels. He'll look at corporate responsibility for cybersecurity and its links to privacy and trust. He'll outline his thoughts on the role that linked data, accessibility and open standards will play in the 'Internet of Things'. Above all, he'll look at how businesses - and the people who lead them - will shape the next quarter-century of the Web's remarkable development.
